LET’S GET STARTED
Let’s talk. A brief, 30 minute in-person consultation at no charge is offered. This provides an opportunity to discuss what you are hoping to get from counseling, to learn about the counseling process and to answer your questions.
In advance of the initial session, intake paperwork can be completed online. The first counseling session will be devoted to gathering information and discussing what brings you to counseling. From there, over the next couple of sessions, we will decide the best course of action and work together to create treatment goals.
For individual counseling, weekly sessions are important at first. This allows the counseling to gain momentum. After a period of time, we may decide to reduce session frequency. This is, of course, something that will be an on-going conversation between us.
The standard length of time for individual counseling sessions is 50 minutes.
Determining the duration of counseling is challenging, as it depends on the individual client, their reasons for seeking therapy, and their specific goals. However, a general recommendation is to commit to counseling sessions for a minimum of six months.
Sessions are billed at 60 min for $182.
If you choose private pay, there is a sliding scale option based on your financial need and ability to pay.
It is important to contact your insurance company to determine benefits prior to your first session. I am in-network with most of the major insurance providers.
Reimbursement rates are determined by your insurance policy and can be subject to a deductible. All copays are due at time of service.
If you have out-of-network insurance coverage, I can provide you with a monthly super-bill (medical receipt) that can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Please cancel within 48 hours of your session to avoid an out-of-pocket fee. No shows and late cancellations are charged $70. Please note that your insurance does not pay for canceled sessions. With that said, life happens and there are emergencies that can’t be planned so there is flexibility on a limited basis.
